The meeting was called to order by Council President Mark McConn at 7:00 PM. To avoid a conflict with the winter holidays the meeting was moved up to the 3rd Wednesday of December.
Honorable Mr. John Litzenberger, Sully District Planning Commissioner for Fairfax County, was the guest speaker.
The Bull Run Post Office Road Cell Tower and new Chantilly Plaza Sign were approved by the Board of Supervisors.
On January 22, there will be a public hearing on the home day care centers in the district.
On February 7, the new Lake Side Apartment Community Center, in Centreville, public hearing will be at the Fairfax County Government Center.
Due to recent court ruling, zoning changes might happen because of Girl Scouts storing supplies, such as cookies, in residential areas. T
The proposed Chantilly Town Center will occupied the current shopping center on MetroTech Drive.
Finally, with Fairfax Forward, the new comprehensive planning process, a large number of citizens attend the public hearing recently.
Overall, Sully District had no major plan changes. One of the new process benefits is less planning staff hours on the comprehensive plan.
