- The Sully District Council of Citizens Associations will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, 17 October 2016 in the Little Theatre of Franklin Intermediate School at 3300 Lees Corner Rd, Chantilly, VA 20151. The meeting will be canceled if Fairfax County Schools or after school activities are canceled due to adverse weather the day of the meeting.

- Medicare 101
- Medicare 101 will be held Monday, Oct. 17, 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Sully Senior Center,5690 Sully Road, Centreville.
- Daly Drive Public Hearing
- A public hearing will be held at the Board of Supervisor's regular meeting on Tuesday, October 18 at 3 pm at the Government Center. This hearing is for a Special Exception application to permit a combination of fast-food, eating establishments, and/or quick service food stores in a 7,911 square-foot portion of one of the three buildings in an existing 50,400 square foot office complex. The complex is located on a single 6.58 acre parcel at 4500 Daly Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151. - This case was heard by the SDCCA Land Use and Transportation Committee in May, at which time the committee indicated that we had no objection to this Special Exception Amendment. We asked that if the staff report raises any objection, that the proponent return to the Sully District Council Land Use and Transportation Committee and indicate plans to address the staff concerns.
- Dulles Suburban Area Advisory Group
- The next meeting of the Dulles Suburban Area Advisory Group will be at the Fairfax County Government Center, Rooms 9 and 10, on Tuesday October 18th at 7 p.m. Advisory Group members will discuss three plan amendment submissions:
- South of Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy (Route 50) and east of Walney Road
- East of Stonecroft Boulevard, south of Lee-Jackson Memorial Highway (Route 50)
- Northwest of the intersection of Wall Road and Centreville Road
- Fairfax Commission on Aging
- The Fairfax Commission on Aging meets on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at noon at the Chantilly Regional Library, 4000 Stringfellow Road, Chantilly. The public is welcome to attend and join in the comment period that begins each session. Find out more at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/dfs/

- Hearing on Pawn Shop Application
- The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Oct. 19 for the first pawn shop in Sully District. A Special Exception application has been filed for a pawn shop on Airline Parkway in the existing 50 West retail shopping center in Chantilly. The applicant currently operates a licensed retail jewelry, diamonds and precious metals store at the location and would be adding pawn services. A staff report regarding the application
