Sully District Council
Approved Minutes of the Council Meeting
October 27, 2004

President Mark McConn called the meeting to order at 7:37 p.m. at the Sully District Government Building.
In attendance were Members Judith Heisinger, Bull Run Civic Association, Carol Hawn, Old Mill, Larry Tessier, Franklin Glen, Jay Johnston, Virginia Run, John Swanson, Franklin Farm, and visitor Eula Tate from Confederate Ridge II.
Approval of Minutes
There were no minutes from the previous meeting to approve.
Treasurer’s Report
A treasurer’s report was not made. The books were transferred from the outgoing Treasurer Larry Tessier to incoming Treasurer Jay Johnston.
Committee Reports:
No Committees reported.
New Business
Several organizational issues were discussed:
Need to confirm dates for 2005 with Supervisor Frey’s office - Swanson
Association list - Hawn will provide the list she has to Swanson
Letter with application to Associations - Swanson and Heisinger
The advantages of changing the Council’s fiscal year from July / June to January / December were discussed.
The summer is very quiet, as evidenced by not scheduling meetings in July and August, followed by the fall when the Council normally sends out the applications. There appeared to be support, if not consensus, for changing the dates, then establishing a pattern of getting the applications in the mail in the fall, before the end of the fiscal year. No motions were presented.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:25PM.
