by Jeff Parnes
  1. Note that due to rescheduling of this meeting the Sully District Land Use and Transportation Committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the Sully District Governmental Center meeting room 2, rather than the usual room 1, 4900 Stonecroft Boulevard, Chantilly, VA., 20151

  2. Presentations:

    1. 7:30 (Tentative)
      • Proponent: Dottie O'Rourke
      • Action: quick update on the Sully Historic Site stop light issue
      • Location: Sully Historic Site
Sully Planation is scheduled to loose their traffic light on Route 28 the end October. Their entrance will become right in/out only.
The Plantation is circulating a petition in response to their anticipated lose.
Jeff Saxe, Sr. V.P., Planning,The Peterson Cos., reports that the new access road alignment has been agreed to by all parties as showed to the Land Use Comm. in June and is on Peterson land, so right-of-way is not an issue. He doesn't believe that funding is an issue either. Its construction is on hold because MWAA demands a secured access from the south off Skyhawk Rd. before it will give up its rights to use its land and access which would negatively impact Sully. He's not aware of any movement to resolve this in the last few months. Peterson is urging the FCPA and Clark-Shirley to build the road up to MWAA's property line so as much as possible is done.
He is afraid that Sully will have poor access until this is resolved and doesn't know of any action to resolve it. Any ideas?

What does a safe highway mean to you?
